I recently watched the entire first season of Skins, mostly out of curiosity. I'd seen so many pispams and icons and stuff, and it got me interested in checking it out for myself. I liked it mostly, but I loooved Sid and Cassie. Like, crazy loved them. They're odd and quirky and I just fell in love. So, I did what I always do when I fall in love with a new show/character/pairing: I made a picspam. In this case, a big, long, fairly huge picspam.
It covers all of season one, so there are pretty much spoilers left, right, and center. I haven't watched season two yet, but it's on my to do list. Anyway, I hope you guys like it. :)
One of the things I love best about Cassie is that she's a bit bonkers. She gets less so later in the season, without losing that whimsy that makes her her. Sid is just so weirded out by her in the beginning...
...and yet he spends pretty much the whole party with her.
Does anyone else think there's a meaning behind Michelle standing between Cassie and Sid? Just me? Thought so.
I love the looks on her face. Her facial expressions in this scene are just fantastic.
And how much do I love this moment? So freaking much. They both just instinctively defend each other. Sid immediately says Cassie is doing better and Cassie spills water on Tony when he starts giving Sid a hard time. ♥
I felt so bad for Cassie, thinking Sid was sending her messages trying to help her, and then being so darn sad when she finds out it wasn't him. :(
Again, poor Cassie. Sid is so oblivious it hurts.
Okay. So, this has nothing to do with Sid and Cassie, but I loved this moment and I couldn't resist.
Sid. Jeez, you're a freaking idiot.
It feels weird to say that a scene where a character is trying to commit suicide is beautiful, but it is. I would love to be like "Sid you freaking idiot" and blame it on him, but Cassie had issues before this, so it's not all his fault for being so oblivious.
I love how mad Jal was at Sid, and how scared she was for Cassie. Jal was so great in this episode.
Finally.
One step forward, two steps back. I love that Sid told Michelle he was in the middle of something important, and the way Cassie smiled. Before it all went to hell again.
Like when he gave Cassie Sid's letter.

I loved what Sid wrote about Cassie. It was so beautiful (even the part about wanting to put his hand down her pants, I just loved his reaction to it). I loved that Sid realized he loved her just as Cassie was writing a letter to let him go."Cassie, I'm shit with words everything always comes out so crap. But I've doing some thinking and everything is getting clearer. The thing is Cass, I've woken up this morning, and the sun's shining through the window and its making me think of you. Cassie it's not right you hiding away in that clinic you've got to get out in the world. Cassie I don't care if you think your odd, because I feel like singing when I see you, and your beautiful, and I've been such a fuckin' chapstick these past few weeks, and all I want to do this morning is sit on top of Brandon hill and hold you and tell you how wonderful you are, and I love you."
I'm not a big Tony fan (like, at all), but I loved his reaction, him just being ready to help Sid. I liked Tony in the last two episodes more than I did the whole season."I love her."
